Name:
Leesa Lutton

Where do you currently live?  Warren, PA

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins
10 Weeks

Any issues during your pregnancy? I was hospitalized at 29 weeks due to high blood pressure. I was released 2 days later and placed on home bed rest. At 35 weeks they were born via emergency c-section due to HELLP Syndrome.

Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant: When we found out we were having twins they were said to be the size of blueberries. They were then known as the "Blues Brothers", although we did not know their sex.

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self? Enjoy the pregnancy, even if there are ups, downs, and uncertainties. Also, listen to your body. If it's telling you there is something wrong chances are there is.

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born? 35 weeks

Are your twins identical? No

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery? I had an emergency c-section with complete sedation due to HELLP Syndrome.

Any NICU time?  If yes, for what reason and how long? Yes. 16 longggg days were spent in the NICU. They both needed to gain weight, learn how to feed, and hold their body temperatures on their own.

Did you have any complications after delivery? None

How long did you stay in the hospital?
2 days

Did your twins stay with you or the hospital nursery at night? They were in a different hospital an hour away.

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?
Family

Chapstick
Hair ties

Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital:
Knowing my boys were in good hands, even if I wasn't able to see them or hold them.

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be? Embrace the blessing of being a twin mom. There will be tough days, but every tough day makes the good ones even better.
