Fall Fashion for B/B Twins

In March it was all about spring fashion for B/G, B/B, and G/G twins.  Now that fall is (practically) here, I  thought it'd be fun to do it again.  As always, there are a few rules: Each B/B twin mom had to choose a different store and absolutely every piece had to come from that store.  Head to toe.  Moms don't have a lot of time to shop at several stores or spend hours scouring the internet, so my hope is we could show you some great coordinated looks that require one quick stop or only one shipping fee (because, let's be honest, shipping fees are THE WORST).

Here we go!

I love matching them or color-coordinating them, and you can usually find them in stripes, skinny jeans, Freshly Picked Moccasins, and flannel shirts.

I'm a win mom who dresses my boys just alike 98% of the time. I don't think I have a certain style for them, sometimes preppy and sometimes hipster. I really just like them to be handsome and dressed better than everyone else in the house, which isn't hard to do.

I love Hanna Andersson!  I feel like they design with families in mind because they are the ultimate easy to mix and match company.  I usually like to stick with a color scheme and style for my kids when we are out and about with a purpose, but if we just play at home, we are sometimes more casual and I'm more relaxed on the coordination...but you never know when a cute photo moment might occur!  The drawstrings in HA pants are fully functional, which is awesome because I have a skinny waisted boy that needs that assistance!  Prior to knowing my children, I made the statement that I didn't like 'x' style or 'y' that for my children.  I have since realized that dressing my children is far easier and they are more excitedly involved if there are some things on their clothing that they are excited about.  Therefore, the car graphic tees.  I'm not a graphic tee fan, but kids love them...and Twins can carry on conversations together just based on one another's clothing.  So, I broke down and I'm not disappointed.  Happy kids, happy mommy. The HA shoes are a classic chukka boot, my grandparents wore chukkas growing up, I love the classics.  I would define our family's style as classically motivated and preppy. I love my basics and like to mix in fun statement pieces for a twist, but I'm never too daring!

When my boys were younger I tried to always coordinate their outfits.  As they get older I am finding that they have preferences about what they want to wear so I am trying to role with that.  I still coordinate colours when I can get away with it :) Generally they wear plaid shorts with a t-shirt in the summer, and of course a baseball hat.  As the weather turns colder in the fall you will find them in jeans and long sleeve crew shirt or plaid dress shirts with a vest.  In the winter they love long sleeve shirts with hoods and a vest or coat.  In the spring, I tend to pull out a lot of polo shirts with either shorts or pants depending on the weather.

I would say our style is urban/hipster. More often than not, you will find the boys in tees, distressed denim or leggings, beanies and Converse.

  1. I love how these example outfits are often matching but different patterns or colors. We do that a lot with our twin girls and it is a fun look that they like too.
