Name:
Kerry Brygger

Where do you currently live?  Neenah, WI

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins12 .5 weeks

Any issues during your pregnancy?  I was so fortunate! I had no medical complications and was even able to workout up until my labor and delivery day!

Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant: Upon being told we were expecting twins, I laughed so much that the ultrasound tech asked me to hold my laughter until after the ultrasound, so that she could finish.

Aside from that, the most memorable experience from the pregnancy was that all my fears and worries were taken care of. Nearly everything was out of my control, yet God had a plan.

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self?  Not to worry, not to stress. Relax & trust that all will work out as planned.

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born? 36 weeks, 6 days

Are your twins identical? No, fraternal.

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery?  Natural. Baby A was head down and so low the entire pregnancy even ultrasounds were challenging to get accurate measurements. Baby B was high and transverse (head on my left). I knew my doctor was on vacation when I went into labor, so I prepared myself for a c section (I knew that they hadn't shifted). However, the doctor on call was an amazing twin mom herself! After baby a was born, she externally turned baby b with her hands in a circular pattern. It was an amazing experience and one in which I will forever be thankful.

Any NICU time?  If yes, for what reason and how long?  No

Did you have any complications after delivery? No (aside from complete and utter weary exhaustion by one month--but it gets better from there!)

How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital? 48 hours

Did your twins stay with you or in the hospital nursery at night? Yes, I don't like my babies leaving my side!

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?

My husband
My shampoo/conditioner
My ugg slippers

*I wish I would have had some yoga leggings & another pair of running compression socks--my legs were swollen afterward.

Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital:  My favorite moment in the hospital was when my 21 month old daughter met her brothers and heard them make noise for the first time. To see her face light up brought tears to my eyes.

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be?  Rest when you're able, nap daily during pregnancy! Once they have arrived, except help in any form, but make sure the help is helpful help (some help I discovered was the opposite). My parents and sisters would take my daughter for at least one outing/day during the first six weeks--even just to Starbucks! She loved it, it got her out and about and she felt special!

Schedule, schedule, schedule! Once I put the babies on a matching schedule at one month, life became infinitely better!
