Name:
Jamie Zenerovitz

Where do you currently live?  Hamilton Square, NJ

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twinsAbout two months

Any issues during your pregnancy?  Not really, I worked as a teacher an hour from home so my doctor only let me work until 33 weeks we had two premature labor scares but I lasted until 38 weeks! I did get carpal tunnel syndrome around 30 weeks (had no idea that could even happen) and I had to wear braces around my wrists in order to sleep at night (my husband called them boxing gloves, they were terrible) but it went away the day I gave birth, that night I slept without my boxing gloves! :)

Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant: My husband met me at the doctors office for our appointment because he had to go right to work and that is when we found out we were having twins. We were in shock to say the least and I remember him texting me throughout the rest of the day from work "omg twins" it took awhile for it to sink in:)

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self?  Those 5 weeks I sat home from work anticipating their arrival I would have told myself to enjoy the quiet time and pamper yourself more because life is about to get crazy. (Amazing but crazy!)

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born? 37 weeks 5 days

Baby A's Information:
Harper Charlotte

Baby B's Information:  Hunter Brian

19.5 in

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery?  Both! They always tell you that's a possibility but you don't think it's gonna happen to you. Harper was a breeze she came out fairly quickly I thought this is too easy- Hunter was faced down the entire time but when Harper was born he slid down sideways so after 2.5 hours of pushing I had to have an emergency c-section.

Any NICU time?  If yes, for what reason and how long?  No

Did you have any complications after delivery? Not really, I had to be sedated for Hunters delivery since I didn't have an epidural so that made me nauseous and drowsy when I woke up

How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital? The babies were born on Thursday morning and we all went home Sunday night

Did your twins stay with you or in the hospital nursery at night? The first two nights they did they last night we put them in the nursery to get some sleep before we all went home

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?

I am glad we had clothes and blankets for the babies- their own stuff
A camera to document their first days.
I wish I had more comfy clothes for myself, I didn't think I was going to have a c-section and didn't realize how painful it was going to be afterwards I think I sent my husband home for more of my things.

Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital:  My favorite moment was one time instead of rocking the babies when they were cranky we swaddled them and put them in the same hospital crib and saw how they comforted each other and stopped crying I knew then that they shared a special bond for life.

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be?  There are going to be really tough times but there are going to be amazing moments as well. Just take it one day at a time and breathe because just when I got my twins into a routine they learned a new milestone and things changed so don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy the ride!
