Name:
Elianna Aguilar

Where do you currently live?  Glendale

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins8 weeks

Any issues during your pregnancy?  Yes, Twin B wasn't gaining weight. I wasn't twin to twin because they were in separate sacs, and the doctors could never tell if there were one or two placentas. I was seeing my high risk pregnancy doctor twice a week since about 5 months pregnant. Once the twins were born, it was discovered Twin B had a cleft palate, congenital heart defect, brain defect and a genetic abnormality.

Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant: The most memorable had to have been when the twins were moving and kicking in my tummy. I ended up waking up and eating cereal at 3 am.

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self?  Everything is in God's hands.

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born? 34 weeks

Baby A's Information:
Milanni Rose Macias

10:19 pm
5 lbs
21 in

Baby B's Information:  Alizé Carmina Macias

10:19 pm, 32 seconds apart from her twin
2 lbs 13 oz

Are your twins identical? No.

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery?  Emergency C-section, The day they were born I had checked in at my high risk doctor's appointment for a check up and the blood flow through Twin B's cord was low.

Any NICU time?  If yes, for what reason and how long?  Yes, Twin A was in the NICU for 15 days, due jaundice and lack of eating. Twin B, was in the NICU for 45 days, due to weight gain, lack of eating and jaundice as well.

Did you have any complications after delivery? No I healed just fine. The only complication was the postpartum depression.

How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital? 4 days

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?

First thing, I was glad my twins were alive and healthy as they could be.
Second, I wish I could have met both my daughters as soon as they were born.
Third, I'm glad I met the nurses that my daughter's had, such wonderful, strong beautiful women.

Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital:  My favorite moment was when I was able to do kangaroo care with the twins.

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be?  Stay strong no matter what.
