Name: Tracy
Where do you currently live? Maplewood, NJ
How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins? 4 weeks (we did IVF)
Any issues during your pregnancy? A few trips to the ER, the big one was I fainted while watching tv - the babies were pressing on something and cut off the oxygen supply. My husband had to call 911. After that, no more sitting in the recliner!
Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant: I found humor in all of it, I was so uncomfortable I just had to laugh about it
Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self? Sleep! Be lazy, watch tv, because once the babies are here, you will not get a chance to sit down!

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery? I had a scheduled c-section. Baby A was head down the whole time, B was flipping around up until the last week. I chose to have a c-section, I was so uncomfortable that the thought of having a long labor and pushing them both out made me crazy! My recovery was fine, I was pushing them in the stroller four days later.
Any NICU time? If yes, for what reason and how long? No
Did you have any complications after delivery? I had a touch of PPD. About four days after they were born I was crying non-stop and super anxious, I could barely get myself out of bed. I called my obgyn right away and about a week later she put me on Zoloft. It was the best thing I could have done, it allowed me to enjoy my babies.
How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital? 3 nights. I sent my husband home at night. And the babies to the nursery. No regrets!
Did your twins stay with you or in the hospital nursery at night? Nursery
What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?
My iPhone, my eye mask (those hospital lights are bright) and my sound machine
Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital: The first time I got to hold my babies in the hospital room. And All of the visitors! Everyone was so excited for these babies, it was great to have them all come meet them and hang out.
If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be? Just go with it. Life is going to be crazy, and there is nothing you can do about it. Get out of the house as soon as you can!
