Where do you currently live?  Las Vegas, NV

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins7 weeks

Any issues during your pregnancy?
From day one we'd been told I would be on a shot daily in my stomach for a blood clotting. Next came bed rest at home because my cervix was thinning out. I was not so excited about this but I did what I needed to do for the twins. At 32 1/2 weeks I went in for a normal checkup and found out I had preeclampsia.. The next day I had to deliver via emergency c-section.

Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant: Our most memorable moment was when we found out we were expecting one boy and one girl! We couldn't believe it!

The funniest thing that happened was probably my meltdown about what stroller to pick. My husband was laughing... I was crying - looking back I was having some major hormonal emotions!

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self?  It won't be like this for long! I couldn't hold down food. I was sick every day until the day I had the twins. Going through it, the sickness seemed never ending. Now looking back it went by so fast - I wish I would have cherished being pregnant a little more!

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born? 32 1/2 weeks

Baby B's Information:  Hartlee Ringo

5 lbs 1 oz (she clearly got more of the food) ha!

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery?  I delivered via emergency c-section. Once I went ti the doctor and I had preeclampsia he wanted the twins out the next morning. It was definitely scary as I felt like we were not ready!

Any NICU time?  If yes, for what reason and how long?  Yes, 19 days in the NICU. They needed to be monitored for oxygen/ breathing, they had feeding tubes, jaundice & a list of other concerns.

The twins being in the NICU was the hardest thing I have ever done. Leaving my newborn babies every night broke my heart. The nurses were absolutely wonderful at caring for our twins, and made me feel OK to leave.

I will never forget one morning going into NICU, the nurses told me they had a big surprise for me: They'd put the twins in an open air crib and they had preemie outfits on!! It was such a fun, sweet, beautiful sight to see!

Did you have any complications after delivery? I lost a lot of blood so I was monitored and given magnesium after the delivery.

How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital? 5 nights

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?

I'm so glad I had a comfy pair of maternity pjs and a nice robe. After days in hospital gowns I was ready to feel comfy

A sweet friend made me a wonderful kit for the hospital.. Chapstick, snacks, eye mask, etc. It was such a life saver!

I'm also glad I had a few of my close girlfriends stop in and visit for a few minutes and bring smoothies, such a blessing!

Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital:  Our favorite moment was the day we got to take our precious babies home. We were so excited and also nervous! We'd done 2 IVFs to get out miracles & the moment we got discharged it felt right. Our family was going home!

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be?  My advice would be to always trust what you feel. You will get advice from everyone (which is awesome) but always listen to what your mind/ heart is telling you. Lean on your friends/family for support. Let people help you & care for you, we deserve it!
