Name:
Rini Mulia

Where do you currently live?  Los Angeles, CA

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins? 11 weeks (1st appointment the doctor said only one)

Any issues during your pregnancy?
I was so blessed with an easy pregnancy. No morning sickness at all. I worked until 35 wks. Everybody was so scared I would pop them out at my workplace. I was walking already like a penguin with that tummy. At the end of my pregnancy there was a sign that I'd got ICP (the terrible itches). Doctor prescribed me Urso right away. And we were fine!

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self?  Get a lot of sleep. Don't worry too much. Everything will be fine in their own way. Don't push yourself to the limit.

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born?
38 wks 5 days

Are your twins identical?  Yes

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery?  I had a scheduled c-section. The doctor and nurses were all proud that I "baked" them for the longest time. Up to the point they had to take them out hahaha! Everything was prepared and I was so relaxed. The only thing I remembered was when the doctor asked me what song would I wanted to hear during the operation. I choose Home by Michael Buble because it's so calming and soothing. And boommm not long after I heard baby A cry. Unforgettable moment.

Did you have any complications after delivery? A little postpartum depression.

How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital?
4 days. I had to beg the doctor for an extra day! Haha!

Did your twins stay with you or in the hospital nursery at night? At the nursery. I didn't want to push myself too much. I had to get ready flying solo at home without help from nurses.

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?
My hospital was so great - even the nurses were great. I got to choose my own meal everyday three times a day and 1 cookie each time. They provided everything for me. I brought my hospital bag with me and didn't use anything inside except for the coming home outfit. Oh and a free wifi so that I was able to skype with my family since they are overseas.
Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital:  Having my newborns photographed. I was so proud looking at them.

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be?
Believe in your own gut. You know best about your body than others.
