Name:
Jennifer Threadgill

Where do you currently live?
La Verne, CA

How far along were you when you found out you were expecting twins 3 months

Any issues during your pregnancy?
Surprisingly I had zero issues with my pregnancy. I feel very blessed to have experienced an amazing time while being pregnant. Other than my feet getting huge!!

Memorable/funny moment when you were pregnant:
Well the funniest part (not really) was that I had no idea I was even pregnant until I was 3 months along. No morning sickness nothing! Went to my general doctor and was diagnosed for allergies!! Thank goodness I hate swallowing large pills! Good news is I don't go to that doctor anymore!

Looking back, what is one thing you would tell your pregnant self? To enjoy every day. It all changes the minute the babies arrive forever!!! Looking back I would have driven to the beach or gotten that one last Starbucks trip in by myself. Time is so valuable. I have no regrets but looking back would have spent a little more time on me before the big day :)

How many weeks/days were you when your twins were born?
37 weeks (3 weeks early with a scheduled c-section)

Baby A's Information:
Taylor Catherine
September 12, 2013 (Happy 1st Birthday, Taylor!!)
12:30 pm
5 lbs 13 oz
19 inches

Baby B's Information: Thomas Eoin (pronounced like Owen -Irish spelling)
September 12, 2013 (Happy 1st Birthday, Thomas!!)
12:31pm
5 lbs 4 oz
20 inches

Did you have a c-section or natural delivery? Scheduled c-section and I wouldn't of had it any other way. Natural birth is said to be beautiful and an amazing experience. Not me! I loved that it was quick and over with. My biggest claim to fame surgery is having my wisdom teeth out, so you can imagine my anxiety alone just stepping into the hospital the morning of the babies arrival. I panicked. I thought I was going to die on the operating table. Told my husband to take care of our babies. Practically writing my will.

Any NICU time? If yes, for what reason and how long?  Nope

Did you have any complications after delivery? None! Again my story is a little boring. I'm very lucky. I worked out until 7 months with our trainer and walked every night. I even worked right up until a week before delivery day. My c section was sore and painful the first few days home but I managed my pain meds really well. With twins , even with help from others , you really don't have down time.

How long did you (the parents) stay in the hospital?
3 nights. Couldn't wait to get home!

Did your twins stay with you or in the hospital nursery at night?
With us the entire time. I had to break my hubby in. He had never changed a diaper before! He might not even know still to this day that they could have gone into the nursery!

What are three things you are so glad you had (or wish you would have had) at the hospital?
1. Chapstick
2. My own bathroom stuff
3. Robe

Describe one of your favorite moments while you were at the hospital: Although I love my family and appreciate everyone coming to visit it was nice with some quiet time and our new little family. The hospital where I delivered had from 2-4 quiet time. No one and I mean no one can visit or anything. I looked forward to that time everyday.

If you had one piece of advice you could give an expecting mom of twins, what would it be?
Be prepared. Have the nursery ready. Go drive thru Starbucks everyday for the last week before delivery! Take a drive! Don't worry about fancy clothes for the babies in the beginning. They won't wear them and it's a waste of money!
